CASTABILITY/CELEBRITY BRANDING

TECHNIQUES NEEDED: DISCOVER YOUR TYPE, BRAND, AND MARKETABILITY

Get an honest, realistic, and specific “industry” assessment of your castability. Pinpoint what separates you from other actors in your category. Discover how to highlight your marketable image headshots, reel, selecting your character from a character breakdown, and learn how to dress to book the job! Learn how to fill out vouchers.

WEEK 2

SCENE 1 FOR YOUR DEMO REEL ("REEL PERSONALITY")

TECHNIQUES NEEDED: LEARN HOW TO BREAK DOWN A SCRIPT

Learn advanced audition techniques, how to make a personal connection, screenwriting/script structure, building a strong character, analyzing scripts, and finding the truth in every role you play! Begin by creating a 3-scene demo reel which will be 2-4 minutes long. this demo reel, once approved, will be placed on the agency website at starstalentstudio.com to market you.

WEEK 3

SCENE 2 FOR YOUR DEMO REEL (DRAMA)

TECHNIQUES NEEDED: CHARACTER ANALYSIS

Learn on-camera presence, personality, command, style, attitude, precise diction, vocal projection, non-verbal skills, and improv.

WEEK 4

SCENE 2 FOR YOUR DEMO REEL (COMEDY/ SPECIALITY)

TECHNIQUES NEEDED: LEARN TONE, PACING, IMPROV

Within the world of television, there are increasingly large variations as to the format and tone of projects. Learn how every show has its own personality tone, and requires a mix of characters that are grounded and heightened. Build an understanding of the acting sensibilities and styles employed by popular show creators.

WEEK 5 & 6

PREPARE FOR THE $40,000 NATIONAL TV COMMERCIALS

Record your 1-2 minute commercial reel. Memorize 3 scripts: sell a product, sell a business, and showcase comic timing (or film a commercial in another language).

WEEK 7 & 8

FILMING DEMO REELS ON LOCATION

Bring 3 outfits to film your 3 scenes for your demo reels today! Learn how to work with a talent agency. Bring your headshots & Stars-formatted resume for reviews. Get re-tiered, update Podio/website, and receive your acting certification!
